E-learning.

Everyday in our lives we learn things from each other, the interaction with people gives us the opportunity to widen our horizons, to get inspired. Can e-learning help us or would it rather limit us to the virtual interaction?
The internet provides us more information then any professor, is deeper and broad...but do we study only to learn? As humans, after we learn, we will use our knowledge in life and make use of it in contact with the others, exchanging our ideas. For this reason, in my opinion it is always better to confront our ideas with a real person, and check it out after all together.
Acquiring knowledge only via internet can cause deficiency in social skills. To enable people to develop normally, we need to give them the opportunity to meet the other real person's perception, to discuss.
What's your opinion about e-learning?
Here you can find the article which made me think about the e-learning process.

  1. I do have some experience with e-learning, and I must say it has been quite good! One course was a small group, and we had a few live chat sessions with the instructor, so there was some interaction as well. The plus side is you do most of the work whenever it suits you, which is great when you're have a busy life (and who doesn't?) :) It's different with so called MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), which have hundreds or even thousands of students, and there is some interaction between students, but very little between the teacher and students. But such courses can be pretty useful too - I'm doing one right now, with the British Council! Everyone will find something of interest at Coursera, for example, a major MOOC platform.
